What you get

The Presage mission completed as many times as you set.
A chance at Dead Man's Tale, the exotic Kinetic scout rifle.
Rank "A" Completion and Self-play (Sherpa) as extras.

The rifle

Dead Man's Tale is a Kinetic Scout Rifle with the Cranial Spike intrinsic, and its source in the manifest is the Presage exotic quest. Its catalyst record asks you to defeat targets with the rifle or to apply the catalyst to a shaped version. The triumph Tell the Tale asks for a Presage clear with the rifle equipped. Presage was removed in an earlier Content Vault update and has since come back; Bungie now lists it among the exotic missions available today.

Versions

The activity has a standard version and an Expert one, where a nearby anomaly flares with Dark radiation and players must move quickly or fall to shadow. Update 9.7.0 ties difficulty to a reward grade and tier: Normal B pays Tier 1, Advanced B+ Tier 2, Expert A Tier 3, Master A+ Tier 4 and Grandmaster S or Ultimate S+ Tier 5.

Requirements

Presage open to your account; Bungie lists it among the exotic missions available today.
