Stars in Shadow is a Legendary Pulse Rifle with Solar damage, a Primary weapon for the Energy slot. The High-Impact Frame fires slowly but hits hard, and it gets more accurate when you stand still, move slowly or aim down sights. It is Crucible gear: its Collections entry points to Crucible matches and Lord Shaxx's rank-up packages. Today Shaxx focuses it with Crucible engrams, Hawthorne's clan engrams can drop it, and the Tenet of Bravery trades a Crucible Ops Weapon Engram that includes it for Legendary Marks.

The current Stars in Shadow

The version that drops now rolls Heal Clip, Keep Away, Rapid Hit, Lone Wolf, Impromptu Ammunition and Zen Moment in column three, and Burning Ambition, Desperado, Sword Logic, Headseeker, Incandescent and Kill Clip in column four. Its origin trait is fixed to Roar of Battle, which improves handling and stability once you have been fighting for a short while.

Desperado suits the slow cadence: reloading after a precision kill, or after quick kills, raises the rate of fire. Keep Away rewards keeping your distance with better reload, range and accuracy.

No. Those belong to an older release of Stars in Shadow; the copy that drops today uses the pool above.

Which tier should I take?

Tier 3 is the default. Higher tiers come with additional perks to select; the frame and origin trait do not change.
