Tome of Dawn explained

While a Solar Super is equipped, aiming weapons in mid-air suspends you there for a short time. During it you resist more incoming damage and combatants are less accurate. Weapon hits extend the effect, Solar weapon final blows provide Restoration and reload your other weapons from reserves, and all weapons get a large airborne effectiveness benefit.
