How reputation with Xur works

Update 9.7.0 restored Xur's Reputation Rank Reward Track, and buying items from him grants reputation.
He is in the Tower from Friday to Tuesday, before reset time, so the ranks move on those days.
He sells Exotics, tiered armor, catalysts and a Skimmer, paid in Strange Coins, a currency earned by playing and from Reward Passes.
His inventory was updated in Update 9.7.0 with new catalysts and tiered armor.

Where to find him

Xur sits in the Courtyard of the Tower, to the right as you enter the area, a little hidden for a vendor. Because the track moves by purchases, the order depends on his weekly window and on the coins available; the Strange Coins lot covers the currency side.

What you get

Reputation Ranks: a slider from rank 1 to rank 17, split in four steps on the order form.
Rank progress earned by the booster at Xur's stall.

Requirements

The Final Shape campaign finished on the account before the order starts. Destiny 2: The Collection includes the expansion.

Xur Reputation Boost FAQ

Why can orders only move Friday to Tuesday?

Xur appears in the Tower for that window each week and takes Strange Coins only while he is there.

Where do Strange Coins come from?

From playing the game and from Reward Pass tracks; the Chronolog Exchange also offers them.

What do the rank rewards look like?

In the game data they are Strange Engrams, Exotic Engrams, Enhancement Cores and Prisms, an emblem and a rank reset.
