Conditional Finality is the Exotic shotgun of the Root of Nightmares raid in Destiny 2. It uses Special ammo, and its dual barrels send Stasis and Solar pellets at once, so one shot can freeze or ignite whatever it hits.

How the shotgun plays

Split Decision: the intrinsic. Dual barrels split into Stasis and Solar damage, and the weapon is strong against Unstoppable Champions.
Paracausal Pellets: landing nearly all Stasis pellets freezes the target, and landing nearly all Solar pellets ignites it.
Fixed parts: Shortened Barrel, Alloy Magazine and Textured Grip. They favor handling speed over range and stability, and the Alloy Magazine speeds up the reload once the magazine is nearly empty.

The catalyst

The shotgun has an optional catalyst slot. The Conditional Finality Catalyst adds two effects: a quick reload after a final blow gives you and the allies around you Cure, and shattering a Stasis crystal or finishing a frozen target with the shotgun gives you Frost Armor. With the catalyst in place, kills with the shotgun unlock the masterwork upgrade.

What you get

Conditional Finality from the Root of Nightmares raid, placed on your account.
Catalyst: None, Add Catalyst, or Add Catalyst + Masterwork.
Extras: Self-play (Sherpa), if you want to be in the raid with the booster.

Requirements

The Lightfall expansion, which holds Root of Nightmares. Destiny 2: The Collection includes it.
