Strange Coins

• Xur sells Exotics, tiered armor, catalysts and a Skimmer for Strange Coins.
• Coins come from playing the game and from Reward Pass tracks.
• The Chronolog Exchange at the Monument to Seasons Past offers 7 Strange Coins for 50 Chronologs, ten times a week.
• The stack limit is 777, set in Update 9.7.0.
• In the vendor data his stall has a Strange Gear Offers tab next to the Exotic armor offers.

Bungie keeps the currencies apart: Silver is the premium currency, Bright Dust buys cosmetics in the Eververse, and the Exotic Cipher, earned from Rewards Passes and other Reward Tracks, pays for the Monument to Lost Lights and for focused Exotic engram decoding. Strange Coins are the one Xur asks for, and buying from him also raises his reputation.

• A number of Strange Coins chosen on the Trophies slider, from 10 to 200.

• Room under the stack limit of 777 for the amount you order.

When can I spend the coins?

Xur is in the Tower from Friday to Tuesday, before reset time.

Do purchases from Xur do anything else?

Yes. Buying items from him grants reputation on the Xur Rank track.

Are Strange Coins the same as the Exotic Cipher?

No. The Exotic Cipher is a separate currency used to focus Exotics at the Cryptarch.

Does the order raise my Xur reputation?

Not by itself. Reputation grows when you spend the coins on his items.
