Enhancement Cores

• Bungie describes the Enhancement Core as the base material for enhancing your gear, and it is required for Masterwork gear.
• Cores come with Reward Tracks, drop when you dismantle Legendary gear, and turn up in some activities and bounties.
• The Cryptarch in the Tower sells them, and Banshee-44 asks for Cores and Glimmer for his featured weapons.
• Update 9.7.0 raised the stack limit to 9,999.
• Bungie names the Weekly Reward Pass, the weekly Conquest and Challenges, and Solo, Fireteam, Pinnacle and Crucible Ops as the most common places to earn currencies and materials.

Cores sit beside rarer materials. Bungie calls the Enhancement Prism the rarest enhancing material and says it is needed in the final steps of masterworking, and Update 9.7.0 capped Prisms at 200, Ascendant Shards and Ascendant Alloy at 50 each and Glimmer at 500,000. Vendors pay Cores out too: the rank rewards of Saint-14, the Drifter and Xur include small stacks of them.
