Halberdier's Reach explained

Glaive reload speed rises and melee damage increases when enemies surround you. Glaive melee final blows overflow a round into the magazine.

Projectile final blows detonate in an explosion, which lets Glaives clear tight groups.

Notes

The effect is written for the Glaive weapon type, which makes it a weapon-specific gauntlet.

It rewards playing in the thick of enemies, where the surrounded bonus is active.

The surrounded condition decides the melee bonus, so Glaive users who stay in the middle of a group get the larger melee damage and the faster reload.

Projectile kills that explode make a ranged Glaive shot useful against clustered enemies, not only melee swings.
