Verglas Curve Catalyst

The catalyst unlocks the Shiver Quiver perk: freezing or slowing a target gives faster draw speed for a short time. Hail Storm freezes things all day, so the draw-speed bonus is almost always available.

On Verglas Curve, Hail Barrage works like this: final blows grant Stasis arrows, and the next hip-fired shot releases all of them in one volley. On top of that sit its weapon perks. Hail Storm: direct hits with Stasis arrows freeze combatants and slow opposing Guardians, and arrows that hit the environment create Stasis crystals. The other fixed perks on the weapon are Natural String and Straight Fletching.

In the current game the catalyst comes from a quest named Nock, Draw, Loose, Quiet, which Banshee-44 offers. The opening step asks for recreating the catalyst by defeating targets with Stasis and defeating them rapidly. The calibration step then has you defeat targets with Verglas Curve while Ops activities add progress, with Crucible wins adding extra. The last step is the return to Banshee-44 for the finished catalyst. The catalyst record counts 700 targets defeated with Verglas Curve. Progress shows on the catalyst's record in the Exotic Catalysts section of the Triumphs screen.

• Verglas Curve catalyst, unlocked and delivered to your account, without the masterwork step.
• Extras on the order form: Self-play (Sherpa) and add Catalyst Masterwork.

• Verglas Curve already unlocked on the account, because the catalyst is slotted into that bow.

How do I get the masterwork too?

Use the extra named add Catalyst Masterwork. Without it the order covers the catalyst itself.

How does Hail Barrage work on Verglas Curve?

Final blows grant Stasis arrows, and the next hip-fired shot releases all of them in one volley.

Where do I get Verglas Curve itself?

Verglas Curve is sold in the Exotic Archive at the Monument to Lost Lights, for an Exotic Cipher and Glimmer. Buying it needs Lightfall. The catalyst fits that weapon alone.
