Blastwave Striders are Exotic leg armor for Titans in Destiny 2: charge them with kills, then rocket jump backward with an explosion that freezes what it hits.

Key facts

Item type	Exotic leg armor
Class	Titan
Exotic perk	Blastwave Striders
Perk effect	Explosive resistance; kills charge the boots, then Shiver Strike or self-damage triggers a backward rocket jump that releases a freezing blast wave and grants Frost Armor
Subclass hook	Shiver Strike melee (Stasis Titan)
Source in the game data	Solo Expert and Master Lost Sectors; the game data marks it "Requires Destiny 2: The Final Shape"
Armor stats	Weapons, Health, Class, Grenade, Super and Melee

How the charge works

Defeating targets charges the boots, and you also gain resistance to your own explosives while wearing them.

Once charged, a Shiver Strike or any self-inflicted explosive damage launches you backward in a rocket jump. The jump releases a blast wave with lethal shrapnel that freezes combatants, slows Guardians and grants you Frost Armor.

Where they come from

In the game data the boots are listed under Solo Expert and Master Lost Sectors, which are small activities tucked into destinations.

Shiver Strike is the Stasis Titan melee, so Stasis is the natural pairing. Stasis opens through the Beyond Light campaign, which is available to all players.
