The Gift of Certainty explained

Activating Ascension or Tempest Strike sends bouncing explosives at nearby targets. They damage and jolt what they hit.

Jolting nearby targets also grants damage resistance, so each activation can make you tougher in a crowded fight.

Fit

The two abilities named in the perk are Hunter abilities, and the Jolt status it applies marks the chest as an Arc piece for players who rotate between movement and strikes.

Jolt spreads chain damage between affected enemies, so a pack of targets amplifies the effect.

Because the explosives go to nearby targets, a crowded room gives the chest more targets to jolt per activation than a lone boss does.
