Ionic Conductor explained

The perk affects the ionic traces that you create. With the helmet they travel faster and give extra ability energy when collected.

Teammates standing near you also receive ability energy when you collect a trace, which shares the benefit across the fireteam.

Notes

The helmet is an ability-energy engine, so it fits builds that spend grenades, melee and class abilities rapidly.

Because allies benefit too, it is a support option rather than a purely selfish perk.

Ability-heavy builds get the most from it, since every grenade, melee and class ability you spend comes back faster when traces are collected quickly, and allies who stay close share the refund.
