How Swarmers work

Destroying a Tangle creates a Threadling. Threadlings under your control unravel the targets they damage.

That gives the boots a steady stream of crowd damage, since Tangles keep appearing in a Strand fight.

Fit

Tangles, Threadlings and unravel are Strand features, so the boots suit a Strand Warlock; Prismatic Warlocks also make Threadlings with Needlestorm and the Threadling Grenade. Strand needs the Lightfall campaign, which requires the Lightfall expansion, and Prismatic needs The Final Shape.

Unravel damage spreads between enemies, which is what lets a few Threadlings control a crowd.

Tangles keep appearing in Strand play, which gives the boots a continuous supply of Threadlings without an extra button press.

Because every Threadling you own unravels what it hits, more Tangles destroyed means more unravel damage in the area.
