Collective Obligation Catalyst

A kill on a target that carries a Void debuff gives you an overshield. Collective Obligation stores Void debuffs and can apply them on demand, and its Umbral Sustenance frame reloads the magazine when you gain a Void overshield, so the catalyst's overshield also triggers that reload.

The overshield makes the weapon more forgiving in raid damage phases, where standing in the open is often unavoidable.

The catalyst's source line says it is found in either a raid or a dungeon, and the weapon itself is the Vow of the Disciple raid Exotic. The raid belongs to The Witch Queen.

Update 9.7.0 added the catalyst, and the game data holds a triumph reward that raises the rifle's initial drop chance, so the Exotic can come before the catalyst.

• Collective Obligation Catalyst added to your account.
• Additional Options: Add Catalyst Masterwork. Extras: Self-play (Sherpa).

• The Collective Obligation Exotic on the account.
• The Witch Queen, for the Vow of the Disciple raid where the catalyst drops.

Does Collective Obligation need the raid?

The Exotic is the Vow of the Disciple raid weapon, so the raid is where the Pulse Rifle comes from.

What does the overshield require?

Defeating a Void-debuffed target with the weapon equipped.

What are the rifle's own traits?

Void Leech stores Void debuffs and releases them with the alternate action, and Umbral Sustenance reloads the magazine when you gain Devour, a Void overshield or invisibility.
