Edge of Intent: what the catalyst does

The catalyst unlocks the Heal Clip perk: a reload shortly after a final blow applies Cure to you and to allies close by. The turret heals when the glaive is charged and the catalyst heals when it is reloaded, so the glaive supports the fireteam in two ways.

Its intrinsic trait is also called Edge of Intent: melee and projectile damage charge the glaive, a full charge enables a special projectile attack, and projectile final blows scorch nearby targets. Restorative Turret: with a full charge, the next shot deploys a healing turret on impact that gives nearby allies Cure and Restoration.

Earning the catalyst in the game

The catalyst drops in Vanguard, Gambit and Crucible activity, and its single objective is inserting it into the glaive; there is no kill count to grind.

What you get

Edge of Intent catalyst, unlocked and delivered to your account, without the masterwork step.
Extras on the order form: Add Catalyst Masterwork and Self-play (Sherpa).

Requirements

Edge of Intent catalyst FAQ

Is the masterwork part of the lot?

The catalyst is ordered on its own. The masterwork step is the extra named Add Catalyst Masterwork, so tick it if the catalyst should be masterworked as well.

How does the Edge of Intent intrinsic work?

Melee and projectile damage charge the glaive, a full charge enables a special projectile attack, and projectile final blows scorch nearby targets.

What finishes the Edge of Intent catalyst?

Insert the catalyst into the glaive.
