Cobra Totemic: what the perk does

The perk improves melee range as well as weapon ready speed and reload speed. All weapons also get a small benefit to airborne effectiveness.

No subclass or kill condition is attached in the description, so the bonuses apply whatever you are doing. Lore text on Ophidian Aspect points to a line asking whether the aspic is on the speaker's lips.

Ophidian Aspect in today's loot

The collection entry of Ophidian Aspect has the source line exotic engrams and extremely rare world drops. The piece also appears in the exotic engram previews, which Rahool decodes in the Tower. A character can wear a single exotic armor piece, so with Ophidian Aspect on, the other armor slots have to hold non-exotic gear.
