Parting Gift: what the perk does

Dodging leaves behind an explosive that detonates after a short delay, damaging targets around it. It also adds a second effect that depends on the element of your Super: Arc blinds, Solar scorches, Void suppresses, Stasis slows and Strand severs.

The dodge becomes an offensive tool, and the element of the effect follows the Super you have equipped. Lore text on The Bombardiers points to Tallulah Fairwind saying she never turns down a dare.

The Bombardiers in today's loot

The collection entry of The Bombardiers has the source line exotic engrams and extremely rare world drops. The piece also appears in the exotic engram previews, which Rahool decodes in the Tower. A character can wear a single exotic armor piece, so with The Bombardiers on, the other armor slots have to hold non-exotic gear.

What you get

The Hunter piece The Bombardiers (exotic leg armor) and its Parting Gift perk.
A stat choice in Stat Options: None, High Overall Stats (65+), or a 25+ target for one of Health, Melee, Grenade, Super, Class and Weapons.
Quantity is the Number Of Pieces option (1 to 10), and speed is the Completion Speed option with Normal, Express and Super Express.

Requirements

Ownership of the Shadowkeep Pack: the game data lists The Bombardiers with the note "Requires Destiny 2: Shadowkeep" on Xûr's offer of it, and Destiny 2: The Collection contains it.

The Bombardiers FAQ

Can a Warlock put on The Bombardiers?

No, it belongs to the Hunter class. The leg armor is class-locked, so a Hunter character is needed to put it on.

What decides the effect of the explosive from The Bombardiers?

The element of your equipped Super: Arc blinds, Solar scorches, Void suppresses, Stasis slows and Strand severs.

What does High Overall Stats (65+) mean for The Bombardiers?

It is one of the Stat Options values. It asks for a copy with a high stat total, while the single-stat values ask for 25+ in one stat.
