What Biotic Enhancements gives you

When you are surrounded, you gain increased melee and Super damage, as well as improved weapon handling and reload speed.

The single trigger is being surrounded, so the perk rewards fighting in the middle of a crowd. The blurb printed on the piece points to a caution that the organism has been known to develop consciousness, with termination recommended.

How to get Synthoceps

For Synthoceps the collection entry names exotic engrams and extremely rare world drops as the source. Exotic engram previews show the piece, and decoding those engrams is Rahool's job in the Tower. Equipping Synthoceps counts as your exotic armor piece, since the game allows one exotic piece of armor per character at a time.

Synthoceps FAQ

Who gets the perk of Synthoceps?

Titans. The piece is locked to that class in the game data, so Hunters and Warlocks do not see it as wearable gear.

What triggers the bonuses on Synthoceps?

Being surrounded. While that holds, melee and Super damage increase and weapon handling and reload speed improve.

Can I ask for a specific stat on Synthoceps?

Yes, through Stat Options: Health, Melee, Grenade, Super, Class or Weapons, each at 25+, or High Overall Stats (65+).
