Voltaic Mirror explained

Guarding with the Arc Staff normally drains the Super, but with this helmet the guard costs nothing extra. Attacks you reflect make the staff's burst stronger and lengthen the Super.

You can end the Arc Staff early with the Super button. That creates a blinding burst and temporarily raises the damage of your Arc weapons.

Using the helmet

The effect belongs to the Arc Staff Super of the Arc Hunter, so it suits players who stay in close range and soak up fire.

Reflected attacks also add damage to the final burst, which rewards standing in front of heavy shooters before cancelling the Super.

Blight Ranger FAQ

Does Blight Ranger need the Arc Staff?

Yes. The extra effects apply to the Arc Staff Super, so another Super leaves the exotic effect unused.

What happens if I cancel the Super early?

A blinding burst goes off and your Arc weapons deal more damage for a short time. Reflected attacks make the burst hit harder.

Where does Blight Ranger come from in the game?

Its collection entry lists Exotic Armor Focusing as the source. Bungie's Help Center notes that Exotic Ciphers can be used to focus Exotics at the Cryptarch.
