Catalyst objective	Defeat targets with Deterministic Chaos
Catalyst source	Found in Vanguard, Gambit and Crucible activity

Deterministic Chaos: what the catalyst does

Target Lock is the perk this catalyst brings: damage rises the longer the weapon stays on the same target. A gun that is meant to keep its beam on one target for long stretches gets the most out of that perk.

On Deterministic Chaos, Vexadecimal works like this: strong against Barrier Champions; while the trigger is held every fourth Heavy Metal projectile also weakens targets, and letting go after one partly reloads the magazine from reserves. On top of that sit its weapon perks. Heavy Metal: while the trigger is held, every fourth bullet becomes a heavy projectile that makes targets volatile on impact. The other fixed perks on the weapon are Polygonal Rifling, Ricochet Rounds and Composite Stock.

Earning the catalyst in the game

In the game the catalyst is a drop from Vanguard, Gambit and Crucible playlists, and its objective is to defeat targets with Deterministic Chaos. Progress shows on the catalyst's record in the Exotic Catalysts section of the Triumphs screen.
