The Firewalker perk in detail

Solar weapon and Solar Ignition damage increase based on how many Roaring Flames stacks you have. You are harder to suspend, slow or freeze, and when you break out you take no damage from doing so and create a burst of Solar energy around yourself.

It rewards Solar builds that keep Roaring Flames stacked, and it adds crowd-control resistance on top. The item's flavor text refers to those who walk through fire having burned away their fear.

Where to find The Path of Burning Steps

The collections menu shows exotic armor focusing as the source of The Path of Burning Steps. On top of that the piece is on the exotic engram preview list, which Rahool decodes in the Tower. The game allows a single exotic armor piece in your loadout, which means wearing The Path of Burning Steps switches off any other exotic armor you equip.
